Guanabana hats are handmade by artisans using the iraca weaving technique, typical of Colombian tradition. The iraca, or toquiilla straw, is a natural fiber that comes from the 'Carludovica palmata,' from whose leaves are obtained some fine threads that are dyed to give them color.
